Terms of Use

Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms is to stipulate matters regarding the use of internet-related services (hereinafter referred to as 'Service') provided by the internet website operated by Mopro Clinic (hereinafter referred to as the 'Clinic').
Article 2 (Definitions)
  • ① User (Member): Refers to a person who logs in to the internet website and receives services provided by the Clinic in accordance with these Terms.
  • ② Operator: Refers to a person selected by the Clinic for the overall management and smooth operation of the Service.
  • ③ Linked Site: Refers to a website connected to the homepage via hyperlinks (hyperlinks include text, still images, and moving images, etc.).
  • ④ Personal Information: Refers to information that can identify a specific individual by items such as name included in the information (including information that can easily identify a specific individual by combining with other information even if that information alone cannot identify a specific individual).
  • ⑤ Termination: Refers to the user canceling the use contract after the service is opened.
Article 3 (Posting and Revision of Terms)
  • ① The Clinic posts the contents of these Terms, the name of the Clinic, the location of the Clinic, and the email address on the homepage so that users can know them.
  • ② The Clinic may revise these Terms within the scope of not violating relevant laws if there are unavoidable circumstances.
  • ③ When revising the Terms, the Clinic shall specify the effective date and the reason for the revision and announce it along with the current Terms on the service screen from 7 days before the effective date to the day before.
  • ④ Matters not specified in these Terms and the interpretation of these Terms shall be governed by relevant laws or commercial practices.
Article 4 (Content and Change of Service)
  • ① The Clinic provides the following services.
    • 1. Information on the Clinic's medical staff and medical schedule
    • 2. Health information provided by the Clinic
    • 3. Other services determined by the Clinic
  • ② The Clinic may change the content of the provided service if there are unavoidable circumstances. In this case, the content of the changed service and the date of provision shall be specified and announced from 7 days before the date of provision.
  • ③ The Clinic shall not compensate for damages incurred by the user due to the change in the content of the service. However, this does not apply if there is intentional or gross negligence on the part of the Clinic.
Article 5 (Suspension of Service)
  • ① The Clinic may temporarily suspend the provision of services in the event of maintenance, replacement, or breakdown of equipment such as systems, interruption of communication, or other force majeure reasons.
  • ② The Clinic shall not compensate for damages incurred by the user or a third party due to the temporary suspension of service provision due to the reasons in Paragraph 1. However, this does not apply if there is intentional or gross negligence on the part of the Clinic.
Chapter 2 Membership Registration and Withdrawal
Article 6 (Membership Registration)
  • ① Users apply for membership by filling out member information according to the form set by the Clinic and indicating their agreement to these Terms.
  • ② The Clinic registers users who apply to join as members as described in the preceding paragraph unless they fall under any of the following items.
    • 1. If the applicant has previously lost membership status pursuant to Article 7, Paragraph 2 of these Terms
    • 2. If there is false information, omission, or error in the registration details
    • 3. If it is judged that registering as a member significantly hinders the Clinic's technology or business performance
  • ③ The establishment time of the membership contract is the time when the Clinic's approval reaches the member.
  • ④ If there is a change in the registered information, the member must immediately notify the Clinic of the change via email or other methods.
Article 7 (Membership Withdrawal and Loss of Qualification, etc.)
  • ① Members may request withdrawal from the Clinic at any time, and the Clinic handles membership withdrawal immediately. However, the request for withdrawal must be made by email or in writing, and the requester's name, phone number, and reason for termination must be stated.
  • ② If a member falls under any of the following reasons, the Clinic may disqualify the membership.
    • 1. If false information is registered at the time of application
    • 2. If interfering with others' use of the service or stealing their information, thereby threatening order
    • 3. If engaging in the sale of unverified false information and other unauthorized goods within the Clinic
    • 4. If using the Clinic as a place for propaganda for unauthorized medical practices or medical practices
    • 5. If interfering with the operation of the website, such as changing information provided within the Clinic
    • 6. If using the Clinic to perform acts prohibited by laws and these Terms or contrary to public order and morals
    • 7. If violating these Terms
    • 8. If it is judged inappropriate to continue the qualification as a member for other reasons
  • ③ If a medical appointment is made through the Clinic and the appointment is abandoned more than twice without a justifiable reason or the reserved treatment is not received, the qualification for medical appointment will be restricted for one year.
Article 8 (Notice to Members)
  • ① When the Clinic notifies a member, it may be done to the email address or phone number provided by the member to the Clinic.
  • ② The Clinic may substitute individual notice by posting on the bulletin board in the case of notice to an unspecified number of members.
Chapter 3 Protection of Personal Information
Article 9 (Collection of Personal Information)
  • ① The Clinic collects the minimum amount of information necessary when collecting user information. The following items are mandatory, and other items are optional.
    • 1. Name
    • 2. ID
    • 3. Password
    • 4. Nickname
    • 5. Email Address
  • ② When collecting personal information of users, the consent of the user is obtained, except in the following cases.
    • 1. When there are special provisions in the law
    • 2. When necessary for the fulfillment of the service use contract
    • 3. When necessary for fee settlement according to the provision of services
  • ③ To protect personal information, the Clinic limits the number of managers to a minimum and takes technical measures necessary to ensure safety so that personal information is not lost, stolen, leaked, or forged.
  • ④ The Clinic destroys the personal information without delay when the purpose of collection of personal information is achieved.

Article 11 (Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information)
  • 1. Possibility of notification online and offline to provide smooth medical information to users
  • 2. User authentication procedures and provision of information services within the Clinic
  • 3. Utilization for smooth operation of the Clinic's website and statistical analysis data
Article 12 (Retention and Use Period of Personal Information)
  • 1. The Clinic defines the period of holding membership qualification as the period of retention and use of personal information.
  • 2. According to the Personal Information Protection Act and Standard Personal Information Protection Guidelines (Ministry of the Interior and Safety), website members are required to obtain re-consent for the use/provision of personal information every year after joining to retain personal information.
  • 3. Information of members who have not used it for one year from membership registration will be destroyed.
  • 4. If the information provider requests the deletion of personal information, it will be destroyed immediately.

Article 14 (Restriction on Use and Provision of Personal Information)
  • ① Provided personal information cannot be used for purposes other than the original purpose or provided to a third party without the consent of the user, and the Clinic bears all responsibility for any damage to the user caused by this. However, exceptions are made in the following cases.
    • 1. When there are special provisions in the law
    • 2. When necessary for fee settlement and delivery, etc., according to the provision of services
    • 3. When providing in a form that cannot identify a specific individual for statistical writing, academic research, or market research
  • ② A person who receives personal information of a user from an information and communications service provider shall not use it for purposes other than the purpose of receiving personal information or provide it to a third party, except when there is the user's consent or special provisions in other laws.
Article 15 (User's Rights)
  • ① Users may withdraw their consent under Article 10 Paragraph 2, Article 15 Paragraph 1, or Paragraph 2 of the same Article at any time. However, the expression of intent to withdraw is effective from the time the email reaches the Clinic or the person who received information from the Clinic.
  • ② Users may request the Clinic to view their personal information, and if there is an error in their personal information, they may request correction.
  • ③ Requests for withdrawal, viewing, or correction pursuant to Paragraphs 1 and 2 must be made by sending an email to the Clinic, and the Clinic is obliged to take necessary measures without delay after the email arrives. If the user requests correction of an error, the Clinic will not use the personal information until the error is corrected.
Chapter 4 Limitation of Liability Regarding Service
Article 16 (Health Information Provision Service)
  • ① The health-related information provided by the Clinic is approximate and general, and is merely the opinion of a specific person, and in no case can it replace professional medical diagnosis, treatment, or therapy.
  • ② The Clinic does not guarantee any specific tests, products, or treatments mentioned in the health information provision service.
  • ③ The health-related information provided by the Clinic is entirely based on the user's judgment, and the Clinic bears no responsibility related to the provision of health-related information.
Article 17 (Relationship between the Clinic and Linked Sites)
The Clinic bears no warranty responsibility for transactions performed with users by goods, services, or services independently provided by the Clinic's linked sites.
Chapter 5 Obligations of the Clinic and User
Article 18 (Obligations of the Clinic)
  • ① The Clinic does not engage in acts prohibited by laws and these Terms or contrary to public order and morals, and does its best to provide services continuously and stably as prescribed by these Terms.
  • ② The Clinic does its best for the information security of users by devising technical safety measures for the security of users' personal information, including credit information, and ensuring thorough management.
  • ③ The Clinic contributes to the development of internet business by maximizing customer satisfaction through fair and sound operation and continuous research and development to provide high-quality services.
  • ④ The Clinic does not send advertising emails for profit-making purposes that users do not want.
Article 19 (User's Obligation for Password)
  • ① Users must use a password when using the website.
  • ② The user is responsible for all management of the password.
  • ③ Users must not let a third party use their password.
  • ④ The user bears all responsibility for poor management of the user's password.
  • ⑤ If the user recognizes that the password has been stolen or is being used by a third party, the user must immediately notify the Clinic and follow the Clinic's guidance if any.
Article 21 (Obligations of User)
  • ① Users must not perform the following acts.
    • 1. Registration of false information upon application or change
    • 2. Change of information posted on the Clinic
    • 3. Transmission or posting of information (computer programs, etc.) other than the information determined by the Clinic
    • 4. Infringement of copyrights and other intellectual property rights of the Clinic or other third parties
    • 5. Acts that damage the reputation of the Clinic or other third parties or interfere with business
    • 6. Acts of disclosing or posting obscene or violent messages, images, voices, or other information contrary to public order and morals on the Clinic
    • 7. Acts of conducting health treatment and consultation for other users or arranging them
    • 8. Acts of advertising medical practices of third parties
    • 9. Acts of selling goods or arranging sales
    • 10. Other acts judged to be inappropriate
  • ② If information under each subparagraph of the preceding paragraph or other information judged inappropriate for site operation by the Clinic is posted on the homepage or posted on a site linked to it, the Clinic may delete the information described on the homepage or disconnect the link without the consent of the user or the person who posted the other information. However, the Clinic is not obliged to delete such information or disconnect the link.
Chapter 6 Others
Article 22 (Attribution of Copyright and Restriction on Use)
  • ① Copyrights and other intellectual property rights for works created by the Clinic belong to the Clinic.
  • ② Users shall not use the information obtained by using the homepage for profit-making purposes or allow a third party to use it by copying, transmitting, publishing, distributing, broadcasting, or other methods without the prior consent of the Clinic.
Article 23 (Dispute Resolution)
  • ① Disputes regarding all issues related to service use, except those stipulated in these Terms of Use, shall be resolved by mutual agreement as much as possible.
  • ② If a user has a complaint regarding the use of the homepage or wishes to present an opinion, they may submit the complaint or opinion about the homepage via email.
  • ③ The Clinic preferentially processes complaints and opinions submitted by users if they are judged to be justified. However, if prompt processing is difficult, the Clinic immediately notifies the user of the reason and the processing schedule.
Article 24 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
  • ① Lawsuits regarding disputes arising from service use between the Clinic and the user shall be under the jurisdiction of the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
  • ② Korean law applies to electronic transaction lawsuits filed between the Clinic and the user.
[Addendum]
(Enforcement Date) These Terms are effective from January 1, 2022, and the previous Terms are replaced by these Terms. Subscribers prior to the effective date of the revised Terms are also subject to the revised Terms.
